These terms apply when you buy or use a LaDataViz tool. They are a contract between you and LADATAVIZ SL (B22470397), C/ Carles Cervera 14, 46006 Valencia, Spain ("LaDataViz", "we", "us"). If you buy on behalf of an organization, you accept them for that organization.
These terms replace the earlier Viz Extensions licensing agreement issued under LaDataViz B.V. Licences bought before this date remain valid and are now provided by LADATAVIZ SL.
1. How purchases work
Online purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, sales tax or VAT, and invoicing, under its own buyer terms. The licence to use the tool is granted by us, under these terms.
Prices are shown in US dollars. Taxes are calculated at checkout based on your location. For Enterprise licences, volume deals and purchase orders, we issue a quote and invoice you directly. The terms of that quote apply in addition to these terms, and prevail where they differ.
2. Products and plans
- Viz Extensions (individual extensions or the All Extensions bundle): subscription, monthly or yearly, sized by the number of users per month.
- Figma to Tableau: subscription, monthly or yearly, sized by seats. A seat is activated in Figma and linked to one Figma user account.
- LaDataViz Pro: subscription that includes all of the above, plus BANg, Filter Manager and future releases, within the limits of your tier.
- BANg: one-time purchase, with updates included for as long as we maintain the product.
- Viz Extensions Enterprise: on-premise licence, hosted in your own environment, with the users, maintenance period and price set out in your quote.
- Free tools (Filter Manager, AdvViz, Theme Generator and the free Viz Extensions on the Tableau Exchange): free to use under the same licence rules, without any commitment from us on availability or support.
What counts as a user
For Viz Extensions, a user is any person who interacts with a published dashboard containing one of our extensions in a given calendar month, including Tableau viewers, explorers and creators. The count resets every month. Tier limits are 25 users (Starter), 100 (Growth), 500 (Scale), or unlimited (Unlimited and Enterprise).
We count users through the licence check described in our Privacy policy. If your usage regularly exceeds your tier, we will contact you to move to the right tier rather than block your dashboards without warning.
3. Licence
When you buy a plan, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide licence to use the tool within your organization, within the limits of your plan, for as long as your subscription is active (or indefinitely for one-time purchases and as set out in your quote for Enterprise). You may use the tools in an unlimited number of dashboards, workbooks and projects within those limits.
You may not:
- resell, sublicense or redistribute the tools, or package them into another product;
- share licence keys or .trex files outside your organization, or publish them;
- modify, decompile or reverse engineer the tools, or work around licence checks, except where the law allows it;
- use the tools in breach of the terms of Tableau, Figma or any other platform they run on.
The tools, their code and design remain the property of LADATAVIZ SL. Dashboards, workbooks and designs you create with them are yours.
4. Subscriptions and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy orders page or by emailing us. After cancellation, your licence stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
While your subscription stays active, your renewal price does not change, even if we raise our public prices. Upgrades between tiers are prorated.
5. Refunds
- First purchase. If a tool does not work for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full.
- Unwanted renewal. If a subscription renewed and you no longer need it, email us within 30 days of the renewal charge. We will cancel the subscription and refund that renewal.
- BANg. Refund in full within 14 days of purchase.
- Enterprise and invoiced orders. As set out in your quote.
Write to legal [at] ladataviz.com with your order number, licence key or purchase email. Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. This policy does not limit any right you have under the consumer law of your country.
6. Updates and support
Subscriptions include all updates, and new extensions where your plan includes them. Support is provided by email by the people who build the tools, on a best-effort basis, unless your quote sets specific response times. Feature requests are welcome. We consider all of them but cannot promise to build them. Custom development can be quoted separately.
7. Third-party platforms
Our tools run inside Tableau and Figma. Changes made by those platforms can affect how our tools work. We will do our best to keep them compatible, but we are not responsible for changes, outages or restrictions decided by third-party platforms.
8. Warranty and liability
We will fix defects you report in a reasonable time. Apart from that, the tools are provided as they are, without any other warranty, to the extent permitted by law.
Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption. None of these limits apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
9. Termination
We may suspend or end a licence if its terms are seriously breached, for example if licence keys are shared publicly, after giving you notice and a chance to fix the issue where that is possible. You can stop using the tools at any time.
10. Personal data
How we process personal data when you buy and use our tools is described in our Privacy policy. Enterprise customers who need a data processing agreement can request one by email.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one in force on the date of purchase or renewal. We will inform active subscribers by email of any material change before it applies to them.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be submitted to the courts of Valencia, Spain, unless mandatory consumer protection rules give you the right to bring a claim in your own country.
